Stylebook Book Club - Book 17
This month’s book club selection is Color Me Confident, and it’s a bit of a vintage read. “Getting your colors done” (i.e. having a professional stylist figure out which colors look best on you) was more common in the past, but news anchors and actors still do it today! This book helps you try out the process for yourself at home, and it can completely change how you shop.
The advice in this book on selecting colors based on your hair, eyes and skin-tone is timeless! I was once told my colors were tan, green and brown. I thought "ugh, how boring," but this book convinced me otherwise by helping me find the right shades of those colors to suit me. Color Me Beautiful gave me valuable insight on choosing the right shades and why it’s important to make your wardrobe work for you and not the other way around. After all, wearing the right colors can make you look more awake, and who doesn’t need that?
